BEHAVIOUR, ECOLOGY AND EVOLUTION OF FISHES
Research group led by Dr Theresa Rueger
A new research group at Newcastle University, using coral reef fishes as model organisms to solve evolutionary mysteries.
FIELD SITE
At the moment, most field work is done in Kimbe Bay, Papua New Guinea. Here we work with a local NGO, Mahonia Na Dari (Guardian of the Sea) Research and Conservation Centre. They offer marine and environmental education to local high school and college students and support the community in managing marine protected areas.
